Bayer Environmental Science announces 16 states have  approved the use of Bayleton 50 WP fungicide as a preventative treatment for fairy ring in turfgrass.

 The product is applied as a foliar spray at the rate of 1 to 2 ounces per 1,000 square feet. Applicators may make up to two applications of Bayleton in springtime, before fairy ring symptoms appear, utilizing a 14-day interval. Increase application interval to 21 days if using the higher  2-ounce rate of Bayleton on Poa annua putting greens.

States that have approved Bayleton for fairy ring prevention are: Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin.
